# Safety
- Before starting, any content or topics that a player may wish to avoid should be brought up privately with the DM
- Any content or topics during gameplay that makes a player uncomfortable should be brought up privately with the DM as soon as possible
# General
- No retroactive changes
- The goal is to have fun, if you're not enjoying something, let me know
- The rules are there as a guide, but my decision is final
- The "#game" channel should ONLY be in-character
# Time
| Game State | Ideal | Maximum Before NPCing |
| ---------------- | ---------- | --------------------- |
| Exploration Turn | < 24 hours | 48 hours |
| Combat Turn | < 12 hours | 24 hours |
- If a player knows they will miss a turn, please inform the DM.
- If a player is unable to attend a turn, they will become NPCs
- NPCing characters will be played by the DM until the player returns
# Combat
- The party will attack together, sharing one Initiative value, as will opponents
- Players may act in any order and all at once, then all enemies will follow
- Declare intent and roll at the same time
- Roll both to-hit and damage at the same time (or use macros)
- If a players forgets an ability/feature, no retroactive plays
- If a player misses a saving throw, the DM may roll for them
- Each turn in combat should be restricted to what is achievable in 6 seconds
# Exploration
- If a player rolls a check (e.g., Persuasion), they don’t roll again unless the situation changes
- Players can role-play small scenes (e.g., tavern talks) in the "#downtime" channel while the main game progresses
# Writing
- Write in first-person (I look around the room.)
- Use "quotes" for dialogue ("Let's check out that house!")
- Use _italics_ for internal thoughts (_I don't trust this guy..._)
- Use **bold** for emphasis ("I **really** don't like this")
